MAY 29TH * A NUMBER
Hannah looked so happy today outside chalking up our sidewalks. The perfect way to ring in the first day of summer break I think! I asked her if she would draw me any number she wanted and that it could look however she wanted it to look. I told her I would be back in a minute to see what she had come up with.
When I returned I saw this adorable 10 sunshine!

 The number ten is regarded as the most perfect of numbers, because it contains the Unit that did it all, and the zero, symbol of the matter and the Chaos, of which all came out; it then includes in its figure the created and the non-created, the beginning and the end, the power and the force, the life and the nothing.

MAY 26TH * 12 O'CLOCK
Home alone, listening to classical music while unpacking. Hearing the strong wind blow through my windows and trees outside. Seeing the bright, tender sun. Feeling grateful and excited for my sweet little family to return from their very important search for PEACOCKS, PEAHENS,
and PEA CHICKS at the Zoo this morning. 
That is what I experienced today at 12 o' clock.

MAY 25TH * UNUSUAL
Does this look unusual to you?

 It always does to me when I am getting my hair done and glance in the mirror and see over 50 foils in my hair. But that thought vanishes instantly every time after I see the end result.

MAY 24TH * SOMETHING NEW
I found this fun book to give to John on his birthday. And it turns out we have started to read a little bit of it each night together as a family. John likes it- he is in to it, I LOVE having everyone snuggled in bed together-and the book is good so far, Ben is half asleep during the love fest, and Hannah-well Hannah is begrudgingly coming around to the idea. It is definitely something new for us.

MAY 23RD * TECHNOLOGY
This is a picture of our family computer which seems that I am the only one on it anymore since John has his own laptop and Hannah uses the laptop Ben used for school. I like this! It gives me the chance to just pop on and off when I feel like it without negotiating for a slot of time for a turn. I LOVE and am in AWE of the technology we are currently experiencing. Hannah and John don't even know what an answering machine looks like, a telephone cord, but a home land-line they have seen a few times!  WOW!! There are so many amazing things that we can do- and fast. I know a lot of people(my dad, and sister)struggle sometimes getting used to all the new phones, computers, gadgets, options, and etc, but once you take the leap there is no going back because
IT'S TOO FREAKING FUN!
-and makes my life so much more organized and easy.

I love the color PINK! I bought these adorable love cards today at Target- SO FUN. I connect so much with PINK that I think I could add it to my list of "CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT".

MAY 18TH* SOMETHING YOU MADE
I made this for John's Birthday tomorrow!
 He is going to be 13 years old-WHAT?!?!

 I wanted John to have something bright,
 happy, and exciting for him to see when
 he opens up the envelope.
 He is obsessed with  Peacocks right now.
 And WOW I found some really fun
Peacock stuff for him.

MAY 17TH* SNACKS
No I am not going to be posting an apple or hummus, or quinoa smear for my snack. I am showing you my 2 new favorite naughty snacks because-- they are AWESOME!
The Minis are the perfect little sugar treat that I don't feel guilty about after I feel like I need a sugar fix. LOVE that they are dairy free too. Oh, and they are DELICIOUS!! The cracker chips I am into because I am not a eat 5 chips kinda gal. 30 chips is a huge amount and satisfying when I am jonesing for some salty, crunchy chips and still want to feel like I am making a better choice.
 P.S. There are a few other flavors of the Special K
cracker chips but my favorite is the Sea Salt.





MAY 16TH * WHAT YOU'RE READING

 Okay so I read "THE GLASS CASTLE" a few years ago and LOVED IT! And just recently was told if I read that book I HAVE TO read the book "HALF BROKE HORSES" which is just more of the TRUE LIFE story of this now super famous female writer. So just uploaded it, can't wait to start it! I really enjoy a good non-fiction especially when the story is SO Jerry Springer that it reads as fiction! 

Once I finish that book I am going to read

 "FIFTY SHADES OF GRAY"!





MAY 15* LOVE
LOVE IS A VERB
When I was younger I used to think of LOVE as something so different then I do now in my life. Before I was married I thought LOVE meant the same thing to everyone. That all of my needs, desires, and fantasy's would come true from that one special person. And I was RIGHT! but instead of it being the OTHER person -IT WAS ME! I am truly the only one that knows what I want, desire, need, and fantasize about. Back then unless you had proven your worthiness and only then did I let you into that sacred,Nirvana space I called my heart. Damn, I had had the HIGHEST expectations of how LOVE was supposed to look, and feel, not only in my marriage, but in ALL my relationships. As I look back now I see the HUGE FIRE HOOPS I would make people jump through if they wanted to be in my life. Damn, how stressful and suffocating for them, and just flat out annoying. I had pushed away a lot of sweet people, who just wanted to play with me, LOVE ME as they do LOVE, and give me that same freedom. But I needed more then that, a contract of sorts, a set of rules that were to be kept in order for me to feel safe, letting me know that I was not wasting my precious time with someone who was not willing to give me their everything. I see how I was protecting myself BIG TIME. My heart has felt broken, nurtured, closed off, full of God, electrified, naked, burned, glowing, and busted wide open. None of this could have happened without these relationships and the huge mirror that they each held up in front of me to be able to see myself as I TRULY was.  Each of my beautiful angels showed me how open, free, and giving I can be, and others how shut down, prideful, and hard I can be on myself and others. LOTS of friendships! A couple of boyfriends, but the most POWERFUL mirror of them all to this day is my relationship with my husband Benjamin Soul Kai(Kai means ocean in Hawaiian-Such a cool name!) Foust. This man came into my life and then I realized what LOVE meant to me. The depths of what I was willing to go to experience it, share it, and give it UNCONDITIONALLY. Yes, LOVE is a verb to me! I feel PURE GRATITUDE to be playing through life with such an amazing man whose meaning of LOVE is so similar to mine. We both understand that we can't give love if we don't have it for ourselves, and that like the ocean LOVE  is always moving, changing, and that THIS is the moment to express it, share it, and nurture it.
My heart is full.
 My heart is HUGE!
And I am now in LOVE with how I LOVE!

I am so grateful to my dad for sharing such powerful music with us as kids. MAY 10* A FAVORITE WORD

MAY 9* SOMETHING YOU DO EVERYDAY
I DRINK WATER EVERYDAY! I love fresh, cold, clean water. I am a complete water snob. I will not drink water from our tap or fridge at home. I know it's ridiculous but I don't like the taste and don't trust where it comes from, or what might be in it. The Voss glass bottled water is one of my favorites because of the glass bottle avoiding BPA, also it fits perfectly in my purse, and lastly it tastes so smooth, and clean.

MAY 8TH * A SMELL YOU ADORE
DELICIOUS! I love love the smell of this cologne
 on Ben's skin. Not just the cologne, not just Ben, but the combination. I would pick out certain colognes for Ben in the past, get home and they would smell different on him then they did in the bottle. I have found my perfect cologne for him, and BONUS Ben likes it too!
  IT TAKES ME TO MY HAPPY PLACE.

This cologne smells pretty good on fabric too. I spray it on my pillowcase -GIVEN!

MAY 7TH *SOMEONE THAT INSPIRES YOU
(took Hannah and her class swimming this morning)
Ms.Hannah Kealoha Foust inspires me everyday in so many ways. How she chooses to communicate with her friends which creates trust, and a space for PURE FUN! Hannah can be SUPER goofy,and just all-out silly!! She LOVES to act which reminds me to quit playing the part of the grown up for a second and snap into an amazing creative world with her. This girl is just 10 yrs. old and she has incredible insight. She listens to her huge heart and bravely follows. Hannah is WICKED SMART! She pretty much scares me with all her in-depth questions about earth, science, and life in general. I then appreciate Ben, and google on a whole new level when her questions come a flyin' and then we get to learn the answers together. On the top of this list of millions of special qualities this sweet soul has that inspire me daily is how she helps her brother. Hannah is always looking out for him, helping him understand things, repeating things to him in several different ways trying to communicate, connect and let John feel understood. When she attends physical therapy with him the therapist comments on how John thrives during those sessions because Hannah shows him that the activities are fun giving him courage, and support to accomplish his goals. Hannah has even shared how it might be fun to be a Physical Therapist to Autistic children when she grows up. Her patience with John is indescribable. In so many ways Hannah is the big sister to John. It can be a lot to handle for anyone let alone a little girl but she does it so easy breezy. Hannah inspires me to be gentle, courageous, patient, make the most of the moment, be supportive, loving, and adventurous in my life and with all my loved ones.
Thank you God for this glorious gift
 in my life- my daughter!

MAY 6TH *YOU
Fabulous day with the family today!
Slept in, yoga with Ben, thinking and sending love to Ashley and her sweet family, hard core sweat fest
 doing "the Firm", and house hunting. What a huge release and joy to have a day of freedom to do whatever we felt.
 I cherish my whole family being together more then ever.
Nothing else shows more of what is important to me on my face, in my eyes, and in my passion for this beautiful life then the amazing richness of my family.

MAY 5 *BIRD
I love that bird is one of the pics on the list because are family has been having so much fun the last few weeks checking in on this momma bird nurturing her 2 little eggs. Her nest is located on our neighbors home on his meter and when you look out my bathroom window we can see her perfectly. My kiddos check on her at least 3 times a day to see if there is any sign of chicks! This morning Hannah and I walked over to the neighbors to be able to get this close shot of her.
The nest is SO cool! Just a bunch of EVERYTHING articulately put together. As far as animals go birds are not really that interesting to me and they never have been. But it is interesting to be able to watch this whole process happening in front row seats none the less!

MAY 4TH *FUN!
Every morning when I pack my kiddos lunches I sneak in a tiny surprise! I have a blast writing them little LOVE NOTES!! I take just one second, close my eyes, being quiet with one of my babes in mind, and then SHAZAM I am inspired to share something personal to each one of them that day. And HELLO, of course there are definitely some repeats. This is a VERY SIMPLE joy to me, but I really have experienced that it is the little things that mean the most.

MAY 3RD* SOMETHING YOU WORE TODAY
Today I wore BRIGHT RED lipstick, just because. I really enjoy the whole process I have of applying it too! First, I exfoliate my lips with a wash cloth and warm water,while my lips are still damp I then apply a tiny bit of Vaseline, I then use a matching shade of red lip liner and carefully outline my lips with a thin line, then I bust out the beautifully packaged red stick and lightly fill in my lips. The next trick I learned from Cindy Crawford when I was about 20 yrs old. Okay, you take one of your fingers and put it half way in your mouth, close your lips softly around your finger and then gently pull it out. Not only is it SUPER SEXY it keeps lipstick off of your teeth! The very last process in creating a fab lipstick smile in my opinion is leaving your freshly applied colored kiss on something, anything, it's fun! Yes, it's true I am totally a girly girl.

MAY 1ST* PEACE
I was introduced to meditation when I
 was around 18. I even took a class with
 Marezy and Karen, but I was HORRIBLE
 at it and became frustrated feeling
 very inadequate. It sounded so beautiful
 to just chill and connect with myself
 and the divine,
(God,the Universe,the Heavens,Chi etc)
 but I just ended up being an immature nerd disrupting everyone with my
 restlessness and giggling all through
 the class, kind of like what I did my
 first time through the Temple with
 both of my girls too! So I was done with
 meditating up until about 2 months ago
 when a Deepak Chopra 21 day guided
 meditation challenge came into my life.
 I felt excited to try it. I did it!
 ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!
And I TRULY felt that I had found a very
 important piece of my soul that had
 just been sitting there vacant.
 There are no words to describe the
 level of PEACE, connection, power,
 vulnerability and joy that I experience
 when I give myself that time.
During one of the guided meditation
 I was introduced to three words
 to think while I am breathing.
sat=truth *inhale

chit=consciousness *deeper inhale or hold

ananda=complete bliss *complete rich exhale

As I say these words in my mind I feel
 such a connection with them because
 these words are how I love to live my life.
 It's my new soul mantra.
 I feel so grateful to be alive,
 and for all my blessing.

MAY 2ND* SKYLINE
In this picture there are the sweet
Sandia mountains in Albuquerque
 on Comanche street at a stop
light heading east this morning
on my way home from dropping off
 Hannah at school. A lot of the time
 they remind me of driving east on 45th
 home to Mount Olympus everyday in Utah.
There is not another sprawl of mountains
 as comforting or beautiful in my heart.
